Vic Mix opens New Concrete Manufacturing Plant in Coburg

Vic Mix Coburg is finally ready for Concrete Production!
After a lengthy and complex build, the new Coburg based Concrete Plant is ready for operation. The new Plant is state-of-the art and boasts 6 massive silos, 5 fully automated drive-over bins for aggregate materials and a further 10 static ground bins specifically for storage and control of decorative aggregates. Designed and built by P&P Products, the Plant is capable of weigh batching all aggregate materials for a full 9m3 N Class load within 15 seconds and can complete delivery of all ingredients to the waiting concrete truck in about 2 minutes. Of course, more complex mixes (such as: Decorative Concrete) are separately catered for with a Cumulative Specials Weigh Bin fed by Loader. The speed of the Plant is equalled by its accuracy. The latest Command Alkon Batching System fitted by Mortimer Electrics controls measuring and delivery of all dry and liquid ingredients for each consecutive batch of concrete whilst recording and maintaining detailed traceability of each loading event.
The newly appointed Plant Managers: Michael (Vincent) and Sandro are well versed with the Plants capabilities and are supported by a growing army of good natured Drivers and fleet of brand new Concrete Trucks. The fleet has a variety of different sized vehicles from Mini Truck (up to 2m3) right through to Tri-axle Twinsteer (up to 8.4m3). For detailed Truck Dimensional and Weight Specifications click here.
A new Decorative Concrete Showroom is under construction to compliment and mirror the existing one at Dandenong. An external display consisting mainly of Exposed Aggregate Concrete samples is already established at the site and is available for viewing whilst the Showroom is being built.
